The lid design is taken from a bronze harness fitting from the Polden Hill hoard and harness  mounts from Sudeley Castle, with the central triskele based on the wave tendril design.  The raised base is from a lynch pin from Kings Langley with an etched spiral background. cold cast iron with copper gilding. carefully hand crafted in UK
