EFL teaching in South Korea
EFL teachers are required to teach in language institutes throughout South Korea. Teachers will teach one kindergarten class in the morning and older students in the afternoon. Classes are typically 40-50 minutes long with emphasis on conversational English. Teachers may also be invited to contribute to the creation of teaching materials, participate in workshops, parents meetings and school excursions.
Typical Job Spec:
• 12 month contract
• 30 hours per week
• 10 students per class (age range 4 – 18)
• 10 basic days holiday and 10-14 national days holiday
• Airfare provided
• Free accommodation
• 1 month's bonus on completion of the 12 month contract
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, in any discipline.
Native speakers of English
Nationals of Australia/UK/USA/Canada/New Zealand/South Africa (Otherwise, work visa for EFL teaching cannot be acquired)
